 The first big rock of the day, and of course I have to climb it. |  I stop by the small brook that parallels the trail and (pretend) drink from it.
|  Me propping myself in an unusual rock formation caused by falling lava. The gashes in the rock are from the lava burning right through it! The rock itself was kind of sandstone like, but still sharp in a few places!  A very angular and chiseled looking cliffside.
