I wanted to head to a park on this Saturday afternoon, and after visiting the Japan-Guide website, I saw a headline about ume blossom festivals. There were several parks near me in Tokyo. So I hopped on the Sobu line to Iidabashi. It was a chilly day. Carrying around my aluminum tripod made my hands very cold. Despite this, I got what I wanted, a peaceful afternoon taking photos and feeling like I was actually in Japan. In the very back of the park I ended my visit by sitting on a bench eating a sandwich watching fish swim around a small pond.

DIRECTIONS:

Koishikawa Korakuen is a 5-10 minute walk from Iidabashi Station (various JR and subway lines) or a 10 minute walk from Korakuen Station on the Marunouchi and Nanboku Subway Lines.
